Overview
Sometimes, after a certificate change on CyberFortress Veeam servers, your backup and replication jobs may fail because Veeam is unable to validate the certificate. While your local Veeam server should automatically contact the root certificate authority to validate the certificate, this sometimes does not occur. This article will guide you through manually accepting the new certificate to restore connectivity.
Resolution
In your Veeam Backup and Replication console, click on 'Backup Infrastructure'

Then, go to 'Service Providers', listed on the left side:

Right-click the service provider entry associated with your cloud repository, choose 'Properties.'

Next through this window until you can hit 'Finish', and Veeam will perform a rescan.
If you continue to have issues, ensure that the Cloud Gateway address in your Veeam console matches the gateway listed once logged into the Portal. You can log in to your Portal here:

Once logged in Click 'View' next to your BaaS service and scroll to the section below for reference:

If you receive the "Authentication failed" error while editing the service provider:

Then, go back to the service provider menu, remove the previously used credentials and re-add them:

Use the information above to fill out your cloud credentials and try the steps once again with the updated credentials.
