The following document will walk you through some steps to troubleshoot Missed Backups. Typically whenever a backup is missed, it is usually due to the scheduler service has stopped or needs the appropriate user permissions. The steps below will give you some steps on how to resolve these issues.
- On the client's computer click
then type services.msc or
+ R to open the run window and type services .msc and click ok:
- Locate the service KeepItSafe Services
- If Service is not running, start the service
- If service is running but scheduled backups are not triggering, it may need to have the service run as the same used to create the backup set:
Once appropriate credentials are added click Apply and Ok, then restart the service.
Note: To test a schedule back will trigger can be tested in 2 ways by either changing the scheduled time to trigger while on the users PC or looking at the scheduler log to see if it is set to trigger. It can be located under users profile: C:\Users\charlie.landin\.obm\log\Scheduler\debug
Scroll to the bottom of the text file and you will see the list of backup sets on the account along with a timer on when the next scheduled backup will trigger.
- If Service is not running, start the service
