Ahsay Online Backup Manager (AhsayOBM) and Ahsay A-Click Backup (AhsayACB) offer similar methods for resetting or changing your password.
Here are step-by-step instructions based on whether you have forgotten your password entirely or wish to change an existing one:
I. If You Have Forgotten Your Password (Using the "Forgot password" Link)
This method applies to both AhsayOBM (GUI and CLI) and AhsayACB, assuming an email address is associated with your account.

3for CLI). - Confirmation Message: A message will be displayed indicating that an email has been sent.
- Note: If no "Login name" was provided or no email address was saved in your user profile, you will not be able to reset your password and will receive a message to that effect.
- Check Your Email: Open the email sent to your registered email address and click the provided link to reset your password.

- Log In with New Password: Once the new password is saved, you can open AhsayOBM/AhsayACB and log in using your newly set password.
II. If You Wish to Change Your Password (From Within the Application)
This method is for changing your password when you know your current password and are logged into the AhsayOBM or AhsayACB GUI.
- Log In: Log in to the AhsayOBM or AhsayACB application user interface with your current username and password.
- Access Profile Settings: Navigate to your Profile.
- In AhsayACB, go to the Authentication tab within Profile.
- In AhsayOBM, go to the Authentication tab within Profile.
- Initiate Password Change: Click "Change/Reset Password".
- Enter Current Password: Enter your current password in the designated field, then click Next.
- Enter New Password: Enter your new password and re-enter it for authentication purposes. Click OK to return to the main screen.
- Save Settings: Click Save to store the updated password.
Important Considerations:
- Encryption Key vs. Login Password: If your backup sets were created with the "User password" encryption type, the encryption key for those backup sets is the login password at the time of backup set creation. Changing your login password later will NOT change the encryption key for these existing backup sets. It is highly recommended to keep a separate record of your encryption keys in a safe place, as you cannot restore data without the correct encryption key.
Administrator Assistance: If you are unable to reset your password due to reasons like a missing email address in your profile, you may need to contact your backup service provider or a system administrator for assistance. Cyberfortress, for example, have options to retrieve or reset customer account passwords.
