You can modify the file selection rules and backup options at any time.
To modify a backup policy

From the Navigation Pane, select the agent computer.

Select the Backup tab.

Click Edit Backup for the policy you want to modify.
The Backup Configuration page opens.

Specify the files that you want this policy to back up. You can use either of these methods to specify the files:

Browse and select the files from a tree view of your computer's file structure.

Manually define the file selection rules.

Specify whether to back up the Windows System State:

Select Backup the System State to back up the System State. It is selected by default.

Clear the option if you do not want to back up the System State.
Important: You must back up the System State and the system volume for your computer. If you do not back it up, you cannot restore your databases or applications. -

The current schedule for the backup policy is on the Schedule tab. Modify this schedule as necessary.

The current retention period and data destruction term for the backup policy are specified on the Option tab. You can modify these options:

Select the length of time you want the policy to save your files. This is the retention period.

Select the time you want the files in the policy destroyed. This is the data destruction term.

When you are done modifying the backup configuration, click Save.

Review the information in the Backup Confirmation page.

Click Done to accept the modified backup configuration, or click Previous to make additional changes to the configuration.
If you modified the file selections for the backup configuration, LiveVault stops the backup for this computer and restarts all backup using the new file selections. The computer will be in an initial synchronization state again in which only the files selected for the first time will be backed up in full. Files that were selected on prior backup configurations are not backed up in full again.
If you modified the schedule or backup destination, these changes are implemented as soon as possible.
